Kids Can Box Project
Not only can kids box, they LOVE it.
Kids have been doing martial arts for many years with karate, tae kwon do and judo classes.
So why not boxing? Probably because of the perception. It just sounds dangerous.
But it isn’t. When taught and practiced correctly it is one of the best ways to get fit, let out some aggression and have fun. With parents taking the role of “trainer” by holding the pads – families can bond in a unique way.
Fitness, confidence and self defence are the main benefits – and it’s low cost, portable, indoors or outdoors and can be done with a big group.
We ran a test program for kids, with their parents as “trainers”. Next we will expand this as an at home program using video and audio.
